In the Droid Room, T3-M4 destroys the droid as it attempts to access his memory (*if you make a mistake with the puzzle, it’s game over). After equipping Flame Throwers, T3 starts his little rescue operation.

With the Cell Block Key, T3 releases the Rodian prisoner & get the ICE Breaker. At the Brig Terminal, T3 activates the Emergency Riot System for extra XP (See *Note*), and open the detention area. He finally releases us from the Holding Cells.

Now we must get to the Bridge to open the gates of the Hanger - Bastila disregards all of my ideas, so I think I’ll just follow her plan…

*Note*
To earn max XP, you must kill the Sith Troopers & the Insane Rodians before you activate the riot system.

With T3-M4, I didn’t need to use the ICE breaker (0 spike), but If you’re using the other member, you can use the ICE breaker to slice the Brig Terminal to save spikes.

How did the Rodian smuggle the ICE Breaker? (LS) 137:

What happens when you pour Coke on the base of this retail Point of Sale terminal? It works! The base of the POS terminal houses the processor and other internal components. The POS terminal and MSR credit card reader continues to function normally even after getting doused in Coke.

[YTN 8585] Lotto Computerized System Suffers a Fatal Blow
Reported on the 17th of March, 2008

[YTN 8585: Reporter Seung-Jae Kim]: Discovery of a failure in the Lotto computerized system since the launch of the business activities of the second commissioned company for the operation of Lotto.

It has been found that despite failures in the operation of the inspection system and the backup system connected to the main computerized system, Lotto continues business as usual.

[Report]

Mr. Jin-Sik Noh, who operates a franchised Lotto terminal, had a very unpleasant experience on the 11th of January.

The screen on the Lotto terminal showed that he had sold 10,000 won more than he had actually sold.

[Jin-Sik Noh, operator of the Lotto terminal]
“This meant that I had to pay 10,000won more than I had actually sold… If I hadn’t pressed [the terminal] I wouldn’t have known that anything was out of sort.”

Recorded information from the call center materials from ‘Nanum Lotto’, which is the name of the second commissioned company for the operation of the Lotto business, is full of this kind of complaints.

These happenings have continued since last December to as of recent.

The some 7,000 terminals for Lotto sales are connected to the company’s main computerized system.

The whole process of Lotto: the sale, drawing and payment, all occur automatically through this computerized system.

Also, there is a backup system which is identical to the main system, and additionally a inspection system from LOCOM which ensures there are no problems involving rigged winnings, etc.

Every Saturday, which is Lotto drawing night, LOCOM checks that the inspection system shows the same records as that of the main computerized system and then sends the sign to go before 8:30PM to ‘Nanum Lotto.’

With the go sign from LOCOM, the Lotto draws (and the televising of the program) are able to be made at around 8:45PM.

The question is whether these procedures are being strictly followed.

The following comes from the audit sheets of the Lotto drawings from last January, 19th.

The check and go sign from LOCOM is recorded to have been made at 8:45PM rather than before 8:30PM, as it should have been made.

Also, on inspection of the inside report made by LG CNS, there are records which show that the cancellation amount shown by the inspection system does not accord to the amount shown on the main system.

Again on the 6th this month, the same thing happened again where the cancellation amount records did not match each other.

[Lotto computer engineer]
“If Lotto is run solely by the Lottery solution, there can be problems involving insider rigging etc so another company’s solution is brought in to run the same data to check for discrepancies. To go ahead without completion of the verification process is just not right and is a serious problem.”

A insider from ‘Nanum Lotto’ met up with the YTN reporting crew and admitted that there were serious problems with the backup and inspection system.

Since December last year, the backup system has stopped operating at least for two months and afterwards went into operation again. However it is still unable function properly.

He/she added that the inspection function is also shaky due to delays related to data, and that there are discrepancies with the main system, such as that the amount from total sales does not match.

The evidence of problems related to the Lotto computerized system can also be found in the company’s inside/confidential documents.

In a document drafted by Nanum Lotto this month, it was stated that if the delay phenomena of the computerized system continues, there can be strong pressure from LOCOM in relation to the safety and security of the system.

A number of computer database experts warned that the failures in the proper operation of the backup and inspection system mean that rigging of the winning numbers can even be possible and said that this would constitute a very serious situation.

To this Nanum Lotto and LOCOM defended themselves by explaining that other companies who failed to be selected as the second commissioned company are trying to deliberately sabotage the existing business and that there was no problems with the computerized system.

However, they declined the public exposure of the computerized system and refused the request for a formal interview.

Lotto transacts some 2 trillion KRW annually.

How long will this shaky business continue to walk along such a fine line?

YTN reporter, Seung-Jae Kim.

-”say” this will make the Terminal speaks the text after that; example (copy & paste into terminal): say o Apple Mac User
-”osascript” You can use osascript to call System Events to trigger menu actions, keystrokes, and dialog box navigation all via SSH
