Essentially I want to make a Linux set-up where I can hook, say, a PDA system…and use it as a graphical remote terminal/remote-desktop to my PC/desktop from any location in my home (if not also any other location with wireless access available).

What's the best (small as possible) linux distrib, WAN driver package, and remote desktop software to do this with?
