Watching BBC news they seem to have had some "teething" problems in the new terminal 5, do you think they will sort them out ok or will there be "constant" problems.

The new baggage handling system looks over complicated to run every day with out problem. ( program on ch5 shows how its made cost £250million pounds)

This could only happen in England.
Years in the planning, years in construction, many millions of pounds spent. The opening day planned for months and months and on the day itself a complete and utter circus. Now that really puts the Great in "Great Britain" doesn't it? NO wonder Wales and Scotland want devolution, to separate themselves from these clowns.

Hey guys I was just wondering if any of you know how to work this problem out step by step.. I seem to have issues with vectors moreso than anything else :(
If the vector has an initial point (x1, y1) and terminal point (x2, y2), then the vector is given by ( x2 - x1, y2 - y1 ).

So in this case, the vector is ( 15 - (-1) , 12 - 5) = (16, 7).

The magnitude or length or "norm" of a vector (x,y) is given by
sqrt ( x^2 + y^2).
So in this case, the magnitude = sqrt( 16^2 + 7^2) =
sqrt( 256 + 49) = sqrt( 305 ) which is approx 17.5 .

my printer wouldn't turn on again when i turned one of these on
(aside from making sparks from the camera flash circuit by charging it and placing a wire in betwing the capacitors terminals)

just wondering and pardon the spelling
it also started working again when i did two things
(someone said that the camera flash was producing emp so i thought there was inductance in the printer so i un pligged it from the wall got a wire and attached it to the terminals that go into the wall and held down the power button and it worked)

and it also started to work again when i reached for one of those flashlight that don't need batteries you just have to shake them to make them work and ran it across the printer's dc to ac adapter i think it atracted all the inductance like a magnet, it will reciave some inductance from the emp's given off from the sparks i was producing

A speaker works by applying an electromagnet to a speaker cone to produce movement and compression waves. So there is electrical current involved, but you're not going to have much ambient effect from normal electrical current.

It's more likely you just blew a fuse or had a power surge from turning something on.

Hello
I am running office which have near about 24 PC. I want to convert all the 24 PC into Disk Less (want to remove HDD from each) and One 25th computer will be a Terminal Server.

I will maintain DNS and Active Directory for each computer and its user. Every User will have a folder into server. With this configuration I can control all the PC from the server.

Please suggest me that What Changes I need, such as Software, Hardware etc. All pc running currently well as normal pc such that currently all pc have HDD,RAM,Mother Board etc.

thanks in advance

Let's start you out by going to Frequently Asked Questions About Terminal Services…. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/en-us/terminal/terminal_faq.mspx

If you are certain this is what you really want to do… to me it is like taking a step backwards …. why not just go to LINUX or Citrix… they have been doing it for years..

Microsoft has a lot of answers to your questions… good luck

We have been ripped off repeatedly by these crroked companies and have put together a list of necessities:

1.) Competitive rates (Obviously)

2.) Lists all card categories on statement (regular cards, debit, rewards, key-entered, corporate, etc.) instead of "discount", "mid-qualified" & "non-qualified"

3.) Has a defined service and support program for any issues

4.) Online statement AND transaction access

5.) No term agreement

6.) Supplies equipment that can be used with other processors (our current terminal can only be used with our horrid processor)

Also, what is a competitive rate for a MC, Visa, debit, pin debit, Visa Reward, MC World and any other cards you can think of for face-to-face and telephone order?
Here is my issue with credit card processors:

Email 1 from Mae who responded below:

Again, does anyone know of a merchant processor that isn't a crook?

A little tough on Mae there, "backup"!

I believe you will find quite a few of the things you are looking for if you check the source location listed below. I would be very interested to learn how you compiled your criteria list - it looks like a direct match.

As for your competitive rate question, this would depend on your volume. MasterCard and Visa charge ALL merchant processors the exact same interchange rates. What these merchant processors charge you usually depends on what your expected volume is. The higher your volume, the lower rate they can charge and still have an acceptable margin. Check out greensheet.com, the merchant processing industry news source, for more info about this.
